Terms and Conditions
This page outlines the terms and conditions applicable to all private, corporate, and social event services organised by The Ace Table, our poker-inspired entertainment lounge. Please read this information carefully before confirming your event booking.
1. Terms and Conditions Overview
These terms and conditions apply to all private, corporate, and social event services organised and hosted by The Ace Table across Australia. Our poker-inspired evenings are designed as premium, in-person social experiences that bring people together around a curated card-table setting. By reviewing this page before you confirm a booking, you help ensure that expectations are clear and that your event runs seamlessly.
These terms operate alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, and together they form the basis on which we provide our services to you.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging The Ace Table to organise or host an event, or by attending an event we coordinate, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these terms and conditions.
If you are booking on behalf of a company, organisation, or private group, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on their behalf and that you will communicate any relevant information, including eligibility and conduct requirements, to all attendees.
3. Eligibility and Responsible Entertainment
All guests must be 18 years or older to attend our poker-inspired evenings, whether booked as private, corporate, or social events. Proof of age may be requested at any time by our team or venue partners, and entry may be refused if suitable identification cannot be provided.
Our experiences are built around responsible, social entertainment. There are no real-money stakes, no monetary value attached to chips or props, and no prizes of a financial nature. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the evening for its atmosphere, conversation, and hosted card-table flow, rather than for any material outcome.
4. Nature of Events
The Ace Table offers strictly offline, in-person events. All activities take place in physical venues such as lounges, event spaces, restaurants, or private residences agreed with you during the planning process.
Any cards, chips, and accessories used during an event are provided solely as decorative or playful props to enhance the hosted table experience. They are not used for trading, monetary exchange, or any form of financial gain. Our hosts and moderators guide guests through relaxed, social formats that focus on conversation, light-hearted competition, and shared moments.
5. Booking Confirmation and Deposits
To secure a booking with The Ace Table, we require written confirmation of your event details, which may be provided via email or other agreed written channels. A booking is only considered confirmed once you have received written acceptance from us.
Depending on the event package, date, location, and scale, a non-refundable deposit may be required to reserve your chosen date and time. The specific deposit amount, payment method, and due date will be clearly outlined during your enquiry and prior to any commitment.
Remaining balances, payment milestones, and any third-party venue or supplier requirements will be communicated in writing before your event so that you have full visibility of costs and timelines.
6. Changes, Cancellations, and Refunds
Any request to change or cancel an existing booking must be made in writing. This helps ensure that details are clear and that we can respond accurately and promptly.
Changes to guest numbers, venue details, event timing, or package inclusions are subject to availability and may affect the overall price. We will outline any impacts before confirming updated arrangements.
Cancellations made within the specified notice period are managed in line with our refund policy, which will be shared with you during the booking process. Certain costs may remain non-refundable, particularly where we have committed to venues, suppliers, or staff on your behalf.
7. Event Conduct and House Rules
We are committed to hosting events that feel warm, respectful, and enjoyable for all attendees, as well as for our team and venue partners. By attending a The Ace Table event, you agree to conduct yourself in a considerate and responsible manner.
This includes following reasonable directions from our hosts, respecting any venue-specific policies (such as dress codes or noise limits), and treating fellow guests and staff with courtesy at all times.
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to refuse entry to or remove any person whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with the spirit of a relaxed, friendly environment. In such circumstances, no compensation or refund will be provided.
8. Privacy and Personal Data
Your privacy is important to us. We collect and handle personal information, such as contact details and event preferences, only to the extent reasonably necessary to plan, deliver, and refine your event experience.
How we collect, store, use, and protect your personal data is outlined in our dedicated Privacy Policy. By engaging our services or attending our events, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review that policy and that we may contact you for event coordination, feedback, or carefully considered future opportunities related to The Ace Table.
9. Liability and Safety
We take reasonable care to deliver events in settings that are comfortable, secure, and appropriate for adult social gatherings. Our team works closely with venues and suppliers to support safe operations, including responsible service of food and beverages where relevant.
To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, The Ace Table is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property that may arise from attending or participating in an event, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable legislation.
Guests are responsible for their own safety and wellbeing during events, including monitoring their alcohol consumption, complying with venue rules, and looking after personal belongings.
10. Service Limitations and Force Majeure
While we make every effort to deliver each event as planned, certain circumstances beyond our reasonable control may affect our ability to do so. These may include, but are not limited to, extreme weather, public health directives, venue closures, transport disruptions, or issues affecting critical suppliers.
In such situations, we may need to modify, postpone, or relocate your event. We will communicate with you as early as possible to discuss suitable alternatives, such as rescheduling dates or adjusting event formats in collaboration with you.
Where a force majeure event occurs, The Ace Table is not responsible for any indirect or consequential loss, but we will act in good faith to find fair and practical solutions within the limits of what is reasonably achievable.
11. Updates to Terms
We may update these terms and conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, operational practices, or applicable legal requirements. Any updated version will be published on this page and will take effect from the date of publication, unless otherwise specified.
We encourage you to review this page periodically, particularly when making a new booking or considering a repeat event with The Ace Table, to ensure you are familiar with the latest terms.
